My collection currently contains original production cels and drawings from several different studios, and follows a couple of major themes.
The first is "women I am, have been or would like to be," and contains images of Red Hot Riding Hood, Jessica Rabbit, Elmyra, Lucy Van Pelt, Slappy Squirrel, Witch Hazel and Hello Nurse.
There's the "cat" theme, with Musette (from "Gay Purree"), Marc Antony and Pussyfoot, a triple cel of Pussyfoot chasing a pack of lions and tigers from "Another Froggy Evening," an adorable kitten from one of Chuck Jones' Tom and Jerry cartoons, a double piece of Bugs and Kitty from "Carrotblanca," and an original layout drawing of the flying kitty from "Go Fly A Kit" which is inscribed "To Ruth with Love the Flying Kit and Chuck Jones" (anyone with information on the past ownership history of this piece--please contact me!).
Then there's the rest of the collection; the odds and ends that I couldn't pass up. Perhaps the beginnings of more themes (stop me before I buy again!). These are such pieces as an OPC/rice paper Dot and Squiggle from "The Dot And The Line," a Friz-signed Foghorn, an OPD/OPC of Eeyore (now all I need is Tigger), a wonderful Crusader Rabbit OPD, and a piece I never thought I'd find: a key master setup from "Interjection" on Schoolhouse Rock.
CELMAIL is a great source of collecting information, and a good way to see at what sort of prices different pieces are currently commanding on the market.
